Italy shirt issued to Luca Fusi for an International friendly match against Bulgaria (4:0) played on 20 September 1989 in Cesena. The midfielder remained an unused sub in the game and his shirt was given as a present to a member of the Bulgarian football federation delegation. The number on the back of the shirt has fallen off. The former Como, Sampdoria, Napoli, Torino, Juventus and Lugano midfielder was capped eight times for the Squadra Azzurra between 1988 and 1992. Fusi was one of the few who had the good fortune to play alongside the great Diego Armando Maradona. Moreover, together with the legendary Argentinian, Luca first won the UEFA Cup in 1989, and in the following spring, the second championship title in the history of Napoli. The midfielder won the Scudetto again five years later but this time as a Juventus player. He has also added to his record the Italian Cup and Super Cup. Fusi won the Coppa Italia with two more teams – Sampdoria (1988) and Torino (1993).
