The Bulgarian international forward, nicknamed "Gonzo", is a true Levski legend who went on to make 235 appearances for the club over 9 seasons, netting 135 goals in total. Georgi Ivanov is 6 times champion of Bulgaria (2000, 2001, 2002, 2006, 2007, 2009), adding to that record 4 League Cups (1998, 2000, 2002, 2007). In 2001, "Gonzo" won the Bulgarian Golden Boot award after scoring 22 goals and helping Levski won the golden medals. In 2000 and 2001, Georgi Ivanov was named Bulgarian Footballer of the Year and to date is the all time top goal scorer in the Bulgarian "Eternal Derby" (15 goals versus CSKA Sofia). Georgi Ivanov was capped 34 times for the national teams, scoring 4 goals. He was part of the squad at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France.
